Cub Scout Recruitment

Leaders please don’t forget to always collect any applications and fees from new boys who enter your pack and to turn them in to me or take them to the council office to Beth Whitley. If all of your boys are not registered they are not all insured!

Parent Son Weekend

This was the event of the year! There were over 500 people in attendance at Camp Kirkwood near Burgaw, NC on the weekend of October 14th & 15th. There was plenty of fishing, canoeing, arts and crafts, BB’s, archery and food and fun at every turn! Keep an eye open for next year’s information. Next year’s parent son weekend will return to our beloved McNeill Cub Scout World. Also, don’t forget about Cub Resident Camp coming up in April!

Popcorn

Remember this is a great way to support your Council and support your unit at the same time. This helps your unit financially as well as shows the boys on a large scale how them doing their part can fund their own way through scouting!

We just had our halfway check point and Masonboro is looking pretty good on sales. Remember to keep on hitting the houses and businesses and sell, sell, sell! You have some time as the sale does not officially end until November 5th. All unit master order forms are due in the council office on Wednesday November 8th by 5:00 PM.

Popcorn orders can be picked up on Saturday, November 18, 2006.

All units must settle with the council office by December 6, 2006 to receive their full 30% commission. Bonus forms due at this time as well.

For more information contact Steve Durant or Randy Mallo at www.popcorn2006@masonboropopcorn.info
